The recipe below is a staple in our house – super easy, cost efficient, loaded with nutrients, talk about the perfect meal! In one bowl you have vitamin A, vitamin C, a hefty dose of gut-healthy fiber, muscle-building protein, energy-giving carbs, and hormone-helping fats. Each macronutrient is important for looking and feeling your best, and each micronutrient will do its part to keep your immune system healthy!
Trainer Sarah’s Awesome Sauce Chili
1 Can Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes (Muir Glen is my fav)
2 Cans Black Beans, Rinsed and Drained
1 Can Red Kidney Beans, Rinsed and Drained
1 Tbs. Beef Bullion (Better Than Bullion is what I use)
2 lb. Ground Turkey (Bison, Beef, Chicken, or Pork work, too!)
16 oz. Marinara Sauce
2 Tbs. Taco Seasoning (by McCormick)
1 tsp. Chipotle Pepper, Ground
- Brown and drain meat of choice.
- Combine all ingredients into a large slow cooker – add 1 Cup filtered water.
- Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours.
- Top with avocados, sour cream, sharp cheddar cheese, corn, cilantro, salsa etc.

15% Vitamin A
